ALEXANDER WELCOMES BT ANNOUCMENT ON SUPER-FAST BROADBAND

BT today announced a major expansion of super-fast broadband in Scotland, including a fibre upgrade for the Inverness exchange.

Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey MP Danny Alexander says:

"The UK government made it clear that we are committed to ensuring that people in the Highlands and Islands are not left out when it comes to high speed internet.

"I know that poor quality connections still affect many homes and businesses – especially in rural communities like those in the Highlands. Today's announcement by BT of five further exchange upgrades in the Highlands is a welcome boost for business and community broadband usage."
