Westminster Visits

Despite its distance from the Highlands, Westminster is your Parliament, and I believe it should be as open to you as possible.

There are more and more ways you can find out about what is going on without needing to visit in person, but there is still no substitute for coming and seeing for yourself!

If you are visiting London, and would like to arrange a tour of the Houses of Parliament, this can be arranged for constituents by contacting my Westminster office on 020 7219 2300 or emailing [email protected].  The times during which tours are possible vary depending on whether Parliament is sitting, but if you are able to give me advanced notice of when you would like to come, I will do all that I can to  advise you of the best options available.

If you are visiting while Parliament is in session, it may be possible to organise tickets for the public gallery, although please note that these are in very short supply!  Please use the contact details above if you would like to find out whether tickets might be available on any particular day – we will always do our best to find some, especially if you are able to give us a few weeks’ notice of your visit.

As well as tours of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, we can also arrange separate tours of Westminster Clock Tower (Big Ben), although spaces are limited so it is wise to book early.  Children under the age of 11 are unfortunately not permitted on these tours.

Please note that due to the ever-changing security situation, some of these details are liable to change.  The most up-to-date information about tours is available on visits section of the Parliament website.  Always allow good time to clear security, and avoid bringing any bags which are larger than would be allowed in an aircraft cabin.
